Dr Geoffrey Adebayo Asalu is a Lecturer at the Fred N. Binka School of Public Health, University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS), Ghana. He is a public health nutrition researcher with research interests spanning food systems, food environments, school health, public health and health literacy.
His research focuses on understanding food and health environments and generating evidence to inform nutrition, food policy and public health practice. He has contributed to multidisciplinary research involving food environments, food labelling, health literacy, nutrition and community health systems.
He teaches public health nutrition, food safety and hygiene, school health services, school feeding, and food laws and regulations. Dr. Asalu is also a member of the Ghana Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (GAND), African Continental Association for Food Protection and Africa Nutrition Society
