Mr. John Bledua is a Senior ICT Assistant in the Administrative Computing Department of the ICT Directorate, specializing in software development, systems administration, and digital health solutions. With a strong track record of designing, developing, and deploying enterprise systems, he has consistently demonstrated a high level of technical expertise and professional commitment in supporting university operations and institutional governance.
Mr. Bledua's association with the university dates back to 2020, when he served his mandatory National Service in the ICT Directorate, completing it in 2021. He subsequently rejoined as a full staff member in April 2024, bringing with him an intimate familiarity with the institution's systems, infrastructure, and operational needs.
Since his official appointment, he has led and played a key role in the design, development, and maintenance of several mission-critical platforms and enterprise applications, including the Student Medical Examination System (SMES), the Asset Management System, the Research Dissemination System, the official UHAS website, and many others that drive administrative and academic excellence across the university. He further supports the university's Systems, Applications, and Products (SAP) Financial System, contributing to the efficiency, accuracy, and integrity of financial operations institution-wide.
Beyond systems development, Mr. Bledua has championed the university-wide deployment and implementation of Microsoft Office 365, and actively trains both staff and students on the platform and other institutional systems, significantly strengthening digital literacy and productivity throughout the university community.
He holds a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from Ho Technical University, complemented by a portfolio of professional certifications in computing and digital technologies, and remains steadfast in his commitment to advancing the university's digital capacity through secure, efficient, and innovative ICT systems.
