I am a Lecturer at the Department of Sports and Exercise Medical Sciences, School of Sports and Exercise Medicine, University of Health and Allied Sciences.
I earned my PhD in Business Management major in Sport Marketing from the Philippine Christian University, Manila, Philippines where my dissertation focused on “Strategic Sport Sponsorship Marketing Model: Creating a Ghana Premier League Africa Brand”. I also have a Master of Sport Administration from Russian International Olympic University, Sochi, Russia, where my research focused on “Sport Sponsorship Impact on Consumers of a Kontinental Hockey League Club: The Case of Sochi Ice Hockey Club”. I hold an undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Sports and Exercise Science from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana. I also have a diploma in Football Medicine from Federal International Football Association (FIFA) and a certificate in Sport Injuries from International Olympic Committee (IOC).
Prior to my appointment to UHAS, I worked at the Physiotherapy Department as a Sport Therapist at New Life Homeopathic Clinic, Dansoman. I also worked as Sport Therapist with the Chiropractic and Wellness Centre, East Legon. I was also a staff (Liaison Officer) at the 2018 FIFA World Cup, Russia.
In the field of research, my interest is in Sport Sponsorship and Marketing, Fans Engagement and Entertainment, Sport Governance and Sport for Development. I am an advocate for inclusion of Sport Heroes in the decision-making process of Sport Federations in Ghana and a Founder and CEO of the Sport Heroes Association of Ghana, a Not- for -Profit Organization to unite all Sportsmen and women. I am currently the Regional Coordinator for the Africa Sport Management Association, Ghana Chapter (ASMA-GC).
