I am a Lecturer in the Department of Family and Community Health of the Fred N. Binka School of Public Health. I hold a Bachelor of Science (Nutrition and Food Science) degree and a Master of Philosophy (Nutrition) degree, both from the University of Ghana. Before joining UHAS full-time, I worked as a Principal Research Assistant on the Drivers of Food Choice (DFC) Project (Dietary Transitions in Ghanaian Cities Project) and as a part-time lecturer in the Family and Community Health Department.
My research interests include food environment, nutrition-related non-communicable diseases and nutritional lifestyle and my research contributions include co-authoring over eight peer-reviewed publications that address diverse topics such as diabetes mellitus, hypertension, HIV and some aspects of the food environment.
I am a registered nutritionist and have memberships with the Ghana Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (GAND) and the American Society for Nutrition (ASN).
