I am a dedicated Professional Librarian with extensive experience in Academic Librarianship, Information Management and User Education. I hold a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Information Studies from the University of Ghana and currently a PhD candidate in Information Science at the University of South Africa (UNISA).
With over nine years of service at the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) Library, I previously served as a Principal Library Assistant, where I supervised and coordinated the operations of the Cataloguing and Classification Unit from 2016 to 2025. In this role, I ensured the accuracy, quality and consistency of bibliographic records, contributing significantly to the effectiveness of the University’s Information Retrieval Systems.
I currently serve as a Training Assistant for the Information Literacy Programme at the Information Access Center (IAC), where I support students in developing essential research and information-seeking skills. My work reflects a strong commitment to empowering learners to navigate and evaluate information effectively in an increasingly digital academic environment.
Before joining UHAS in 2016, I worked as a Library Assistant at the Evangelical Presbyterian College of Education, Amedzofe from 2012 to 2015, where I gained foundational experience in Academic Library Operations and User Support.
Recognized for my responsibility, diligence and self-driven mindset, I bring friendly demeanor and strong communication abilities to every professional engagement. I thrive under pressure, adapt well to new challenges and excel both independently and as part of a team. My passion for problem-solving and continuous learning drives my contributions to the library and information science field.
