I am a Lecturer in the Department of Family and Community Health at the Fred N. Binka School of Public Health (FNBSPH), University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS), Ghana. I hold a PhD in Public Health (Nutrition and Food Safety) from Sichuan University, an MPhil in Nutrition and a BSc in Nutrition and Food Science from the University of Ghana. My work focuses on public health nutrition, food systems and policy, with a strong emphasis on child and adolescent nutrition, school health, food environments and the prevention of diet-related non-communicable diseases. I contribute to teaching, research and mentorship while leading and supporting applied research, policy engagement and community-based interventions aimed at improving nutrition outcomes in Ghana and across Africa. I have been involved in multi-country and national initiatives, including research on food systems transformation, fortified whole grains and school feeding. I co-lead projects integrating nutritious, underutilised local foods into the Ghana School Feeding Programme. I also contribute to national technical working groups on trans-fat elimination and school nutrition. I collaborate with regional and international partners to strengthen evidence-informed policy and practice. My work is driven by a commitment to co-creating context-relevant, equitable and sustainable solutions that improve diets, health and wellbeing across communities in Ghana and the African region.
